Parking ease

OK, I've my smart since April and until this past weekend I haven't really had to use the smart's lack of size for parking. On Sunday, however, my wife and I decided to stop at a little restaurant we've been wanting to try. They have three parking areas and all were full. When we were driving out of the last dirt covered parking area we both saw a very small space behind another car. We pulled Little Blue into the space to see if it would fit without blocking anyone else. Sure enough he fit right in. There is no way another car could have fit in that spot, but we did. I'm so glad we decided to drive the smart that day. Love the car!

We had a similar experience over the weekend at an annual Labor Day weekend festival where parking is virtually nonexistent.

Drove through the lot nearest the event and found that smart space between a Hummer and a soccer mom's van - perfect fit but only for a smart!

Sorry no pix.

"Sure enough he fit right in"

How do you know what Gender is your Smart car? I didn't see a Gender type option when I order.

Back in July I was trying to find a parking spot in the lot next to the restaurant. There were no empty spots - but there was a smart parked in there. If I had known them, I considered "sharing" their spot. But I would of blocked them in. So I pulled out in the street and Bingo! A smart spot if I ever saw one.

My favorite is having a good parking spot at work.

Some of those that drive bikes in like to park sideways in the spots here near the walk way so its easy to get in and out. My smart is small enough that I can just pull in and park behind them. (They park near the front to prevent other cars from turning into the spot and smacking their bike, and to avoid the oil spots on occasion.) The first time I did it one of the bike owners nearly wet himself laughing when he came out to go home.
