Passion trade in for Brabus

Has anyone traded in a Passion for a new Brabus? Did you feel good about the trade in value? I'm just thinking about it. Thanks

When I had my '08 Passion coupe in for the 2.0 update, I took a Brabus for a test drive. I was hooked. I looked into buying the Brabus kit and upgrading my car but soon discovered that it would cost me nearly as much as trading my car in.

Despite the A/C problem we're still trying to resolve, I have no regrets. I feel like I got a reasonable trade-in and the car sounds, rides, handles and looks better. The '08 had less than a year remaining on the warranty so I've re-started the warranty clock as well.

I saw an available black Brabus at my dealer, and I liked it, but I figured there wasn't enough added-value to warrant the cost based on my needs. I had done a little research into the aftermarket and figured I'd customize slowly: wheels, intake, springs, kit, etc. as desired. I also wanted a white car for my Mini-Shuttle™ theme. If the Brabus had a bigger engine or had a turbo, I may have seriously considered it.

They're nice though, and it was cool seeing one in person.

That's the beauty of a panel swap and why we have a yellow/black Brabus.

Smartest thing that I've done! My '08 passion cabriolet was nice and I was thinking about adding the trim and rims, but I found that there was more value and a MUCH improved ride with the Brabus. Overall, the comfort level is greatly improved with the bigger wheels and the change in the suspension as you really don't feel the "little" bumps in the road any more! The car also has a little "hum" from the new exhaust. I travel about 50 miles every day and I would not go back to to the old model!

There were some really good incentives from my dealer up here in Canada, so the trade was worth it. That might not be the case for you where you are.
