Passion vs. Cabrio safety

I was wondering if there is any info on how the tridion safety cell rigidity differs from the non-cabrio... as it is not one continuous cage like the coupe. The dealers claim there is no difference but from an engineering standpoint it is certainly not the same. I know the IIHS latest roof crush results were stellar for the coupe.

There is more high-tensile steel in the cab trid. The dealers have a wall poster that shows the differences.

Dave Schembri was asked essentially the same questin in his talk at the Dragon. As he said, the roof of either car would give way to the hypothetical elephant. The strength of the Tridion is in the periphery ... and, from all I've heard/read (and he said) they're equivalent there.

And, the cabrio has a functional roll bar.

The cabrio has reinforcement in the upper end of the Tridion and the roll bar (that's why it's heavier) so it could acheive the same strength as the coupe.
