Back then (HS years), I had a 1964 Chevy Bel Air. Big V8. Not new, I think I paid $500 for it. A lot of the fellas thought it was cool, I thought it was transportation. Yeah, jetfuel, I'm old too, LOL

Last edited by NCC1701; 10-16-2008 at 12:49 AM. Reason: I paid for it, my parents didn't. Although, they did co-sign.

Unfortunately my nephew is one of those poor kids who lives in a rich neighborhood. Reality hasn't set in yet. I don't think he believes he will be paying for anything for the rest of his life. I did mention it to him, but he's convinced he'll be driving a BMW like most of his friends.

Chilax! He's gonna need a job to pay his share anyway. I'm sure his parents aren't complete idiots. Give them some credit! Geeze!

I really like driving it. At 6 foot tall and 320 lbs, I find it easier to get into and out of than my Dads Ford Focus.

Get the Smart! I'm the only one in school with one (a all black Passion with Red interior and GPS Radio [ downside was it wont play burned Cd's ] ) I cant say that I'm getting all the chicks as others say, but its definitely a conversation starter, and yes I do get way to often the "I feel bad for you if you get in an accident" or the "OMG don't crash in it!" but the best ones are the compliments ;). I haven't gotten questions or anything about it as I try not to flaunt it like the guy who has his really nice Corvette or the new Lexus, I figure.. I don't wan to get my car keyed

I forgot to add though that my Principle has a Smart in our school colors so its a bit weird. ( She has a Yellow and Black Smart, Mine is Black. Our school colors are Silver,Black and Gold) so I get some pretty bad remarks i guess you can say. My principle isn't liked

What occurs in a 50 ft motorhome party bus with 30+ teens?
