Driving on I95 in CT a car on the exit ramp decided to cut back into traffic. He hit the car next to me, who then slammed into me (at 70 mph). My car hit the guard rail and bounced off like a ping pong ball, rolling several times before hitting the opposite guardrail (which then flipped me right side up). Thank god I was wearing my seatbelt, and driving this amazing car. I opened the door and stepped out. Very shaken, but not hurt. I'm a little stiff now, the next day, but other than that I'm perfectly fine. Time to get on the orphan list for another smart. MY SMART SAVED MY LIFE!!!

Lucky for you that you were in your smart car! So sorry to hear of the damage and hope you recover OK. Geez, now you have to go thru the whole waiting around bit again, too. Any way you can sue the original driver for mental anguish and pain that he's gonna cause?

So happy you're all right and so sorry about your little car.
Pictures would be a bonus...

That little car is something!! Glad you are OK!! But, damn! Now the reserve and wait again! Maybe you could get their insurance to buy a Brabus and inport it as a replacement rather than you having to wait a year for a car?

OMG
Glad you're ok, and it's a testament of the car that you're able to post this here today. I know it might be kind of silly to ask for pictures but I think we'd all like to prove the car keeps you safe...

Thank God your OK! Thanks for confirming what we all believe is the safety of these cars.
I'm curious, is your insurance company reimbursing you list price or market price for an orphan? Your dealer should put you on the top of the orphan list with no extras.

Glad you are okay! And the door opened too?
Actually my imagination is probably better than pictures, if you don't have any.
Were they (the other driver) on their cellphone by any chance?
