Love the idea of plug-in hybrids-makes a lot of sense extending the range with a small gasoline engine. As battery technology continues to improve, I think we may well see this really emerge over the next 5 years (not 2 years as this article seems to project). There's still some technology improvements needed, but it's got to be a winner eventually.
