Pickup vs. Smart - Who won?

I hope this is not a repost from the vwvortex forum. Anyone know real the story behind this poor smart?

WOW, those are some really old pic's. I remember seeing that when I first joined the forum. smart 1- truck 0. If I remember the post correctly, they totalled the truck, the smart had about $1500 in damages. Front fender and door skin, and I believe a bent strut. I really don't know if they ever posted the final tally.

The truck had Texas plates.

From the angle of the tire, my guess is that the Smart had some serious and expensive damage as well.

That incident is nothing for the smart camp to brag about. Minor collision, and the car is obviously not driveable. If the damage is supposed to be impressive because it was hit by a truck, note that it's as light-duty as trucks get...probably weighs ~3,000lbs. The truck may be totalled, but that is only because it's ~15 years old and worth nothing compared to a current model year smart.
