Well, I talked to the man's son at length. He is flying up with cash in hand, and taking the rail to my office to meet me. I told him "no offense, but everything you are telling me smells like a scam" and explained why.
He says he does this all the time, and knows to bring only cash. According to him, my model is popular in Eastern Europe, and they ship them over. Anything's possible, I suppose. He'll be meeting me in my office, in view of my security cam, with cash in hand, a window and cash marker handy to make sure the bills are legit, and oh, heavens, I am turning into the most suspicious person on the planet.
If he's legit, it's kind of an odd juxtaposition. I'm hungry for a European car, and he's hungry for the most milquetoast American vehicle on the road!!!!!
