Please help me make a quick decision

I just reserved a Cabrio last week... so I haven't been at this long... but I just got a call from a local dealer who has a blue/black Cabrio Orphan and he said I CAN HAVE IT... here is the "problem"... I wanted the blue black Cabrio with the leather seats option - ya know, with the power steering and all... this one does NOT have that... I'm worried my wife might have trouble parking this without the power steering... all the other things don't mean that much to me - I can live without them... but I don't want to make a mistake... has ANYONE driven this with and without the power steering? Is it a big difference??? Should I just wait for another orphan? Don't know what to do and I only have until tomorrow morning to make up my mind!

My opinion only, but power steering should not be a deal breaker UNLESS your wife just has to have it. Our car doesn't have it and the steering at low speeds and from a stop is not an issue.

I don't have ps and I don't think I need it. Some people have mentioned it doesnt track on highway grooves as much with it.

A third option might be to wait for another orphan equipped as you want. I don't like to hurry, and I don't like to give up what I really want.

i've put over 2000 miles on my smart sans PS, don't need it! unless your wife is near being an invalid. if she can raise a pan to your head level, she can drive it fine.

i park mine at work with one hand while eating my morning burger with the other hand and back into my spot. i'm only 5'8" and 125 lbs, so i'm sure she can handle it.

My orphan has no power steering and it really isn't a problem. That said, I had a chance yesterday to buy a second orphan that was identical to the car I configured minus the power steering. I decided to pass and wait till oct to december for mine to be delivered. No question had it been equiped with power steering, I would be on a road trip today to pick it up.

the other thing I wanted to mention was that the dealer has already installed LoJack in this for an additional charge of $695 - which I don't want or need - but its already installed... so its like I'm paying $700 for something I don't want and I'm not getting the comfort package that I DO want... just don't know what to do - my head is spinning.

I have a Passion with Comfort Package...
The power steering is OK but nothing I would make a big deal over either way.
For $700 (LoJack) you get to save a year of more in waiting - well worth it.
Leather seats - I like but the fun fabric colors are appealing too.
In Michigan heated seats are a must have - in Florida not so much.
But I doubt I would be happy without the auto lights and windshield wipers for those I would wait for another orphan or my reserved car.

Good luck.
