Once you configure, how long does it take to get your car? How long does it typically take before you hear from the dealer? When is the delivery estimator updated?

your results may vary, but typically 4 - 6 months after you configure, your car should be built. (add another 30 days or so for shipment) Your dealer may contact you about 30 days (or less) prior to it being built. The DDE is updated daily I believe.

Anything goes at this point. I configured before a few people did and they are getting theirs already and from the same dealer. And it also depends on the dealer. The ones that have higher volumes seem to be getting the cars faster. If they were smart Germans, they would do it like McDonalds on how they built the cars. As they were ordered. Oh, what a concept there. Nope, they are doing them some other odd way that I don't think anyone will figure out. I know I heard on here that they have a shortage of Rally Red Flakes? I hope that is not the case in making the plastic moldings. That would suck and cause more time to wait on my car at a fast delivery dealer. Hmm.

SmartHHO, you are in a weird spot in this area of the country. Dallas is like a black hole and 3hrs away you are getting them at a decent rate. I still cant believe it...
