Pure anyone?

Does anyone know if any dealerships have a Pure with just the a/c added on. I am willing to fly anywhere in the US to get it and ill drive it back.

The calls from the dozen or so orphan lists I'm on continue.... Today, Santa Fe called with a few cars including a PURE.She said its Black Tridion with Yellow Panels. Had to turn them down since I'm picking my Smart up Tommorrow!

Just call call call! Call every dealership in the US.

I think any dealer can add AC pretty easily. Don't know the costs. That would expand your options some.

Talked to the San Francisco Smart today. Dave said that if a person wanted a PURE they'd get it as an orphan pretty quickly. Seems that everyone wants the PASSION. Good luck!

Every smart dealership was provided one Pure as a showroom model. The example at my local smart centre is yellow/black, with air conditioning as the only option. I suspect there are similar cars in most smart centres, given the fact that Americans tend to demand air conditioning. The dealers can not sell these showroom cars—for now. But I have heard that they will in fact be permitted to sell them when they receive their 2009 showroom models. These cars might be had at very reasonable prices in the latter part of this year.

The Pure is a very attractive smart in its own right, and it has fewer electrical components to become faulty.

Hmm, I thought they all got stripper pures? My dealer (smart center Germantown) has a white/black pure with nothing on it.

There are no approved ways to install A/C at the dealer level. It can only be added during production.

I believe most of the Pure's are yellow/black with air. I know that's the configuration in Indy. And I know on the link on smart's web site to the first delivery in the US, the pure in the background is yellow/black.
