Dude I'm no expert but no matter what you order you'll have to wait. The wait list to get a Smart is based on how many orders the dealer you're asigned has to fill. I've done some tossing around of number and it isn't hardly anything more a month to go to a Passion. I pondered getting a pure but finally the manual windows and mirrors killed the deal. I've waited 4 months and expect to wait another 12 probably.

The way the reservation system works, you wait until its your turn in line; with the rest of us.
When its your turn, you tell them what you want and they build it for you.
No reduction in wait time for Pures.

The only way to accelerate the delivery of your smart is to order a Brabus

I have seen them showing up about a month or two faster at best at the Round Rock location. I am thinking due to this car being a generic car. So they have tons of the stuff. Seems more Pure and Passion being ordered then Cabrios, which seem to take the longest. Not sure exactly how they do the cars. It is not like McDonalds on first come first serve that is for sure.

Reservation holders that had not configured got an email about the limited edition brabus. They were able to upgrade their reservation. There will be a maximum of 1500 cars available for the US.

Search other threads for more information.

I ordered my Pure in Jully 2007 and it arrived in March 2008. The wait time seems to be average(?).

I know somebody who got their pure in about 9 months i think. All i know is the wait time was shorter than they thought. Mine was purchased as an Orphan, so really the waiting time is the samae for most. I just got lucky.
