The Mexican 450 is the exact color combo of our old split window VW bus. Loved it .

The other key identifier is the long grove across the door. Straight across for the 450, on a steep angle for the 451. A2Jack

Bump -

While doing some research to see who has a purple smart I ran across this thread and remembered I haven't seen it in a while. I figured I'd give it a bump...the color is IDENTICAL to my Yaris.

Anyone seen a violet colored smart yet? cough cough...

The purple Yaris and the purple Smart could be like Arnold Schwartzenager and Danny Davito in the movie Twins.

While I do have a gallon of paint that purple socked away - I won't use it. I do however have a different shade of purple. Not sure if I'll use it on my own car - there might be someone out there who wants it, we'll see.

pm me you know who you are

Also, the fortwo badge only came arounf 2003, before that, the fortwo was known as City-Coupe or City-Cabriolet but was never badged on the rear as such

The car that was the original topic of discussion belongs to Gail. I won't list her last name here. By coincidence, I saw her car - same one pictured at the beginning of this post, that she is proud of in a Facebook 451 Forum...guess she just needed a place to hang.
