Pushin' 40 (MPGs) WOOHOO!

First tank was 29.4 MPGs.
Second tank was 34.6 MPGs.
Third tank was 39.6 MPGs.

A 10 MPG boost in the first 900 miles? 40 MPG! Driving conditions and style haven't changed. Starting to get excited for yet-another reason, and thinking it just might be an econo-pocket-rocket, after all!

There should be a MPG log (a la greenhybrid.com) on this site (hint, hint).

that's great news. I owned a 93 Corvette Conv LT1 350v8, that didn't get better gas mileage 'til it had about 5,000 miles on it.

Well I have gotten 37.8 mpg since new and I have about 600 miles on mine.

All my driving has been with two people in the car and is about 60% highway. I live in the Northwest part of Vegas which involves driving up some hills. My Prius averages about 45 under the same conditions.

It's not so crazy, things loosen up after being driven 1,000 miles and MPG improves.

My Honda motorcycle started giving me better MPG after 1,000 miles. Now it didn't appear all at once but slowly increased.

Loosen up they have. At 1100 miles, last night's fill-up calculated in at 45.46 mpg for me (60% hwy, 20 % suburban, 20% mountain roads). My original mileage readings ran between 41-43 mpg for the same commuting circuit.
