Putting door panels back on

Just finished installing my new Polk speakers... I'm attempting to put the door panels back on and i'm not having much luck. Anyone know any tips/tricks on putting the door panels back on? I printed the Evilution and FQ101 door panel REMOVAL guides earlier, just hard to follow them backwards

I remembered when I put the door panels back on mine, I attached the rear end first (near the handle) then slide the door panel forward+downwards towards the front. You should be able to clamp over the panel over the front/bottom area of the door. When sliding back panel back towards the rear, make sure the 3 clips are aligned over the area it snaps into. Once aligned, gently snap in place and slide panel back.

It wasn't easy at all for me.
I did the first one at night and in the dark it looked like it would never go back on.
There is one spot that it lines up and with some pulling, pushing and sore fingers, the lip can be pushed over the bottom front of the frame and then bent around the rest of the front edge.
After that is done, then lining up the top tabs is relatively easy.

Its one of those jobs that if it doesn't fit, keep trying. It will snap back in eventually.

Which Polk's did you use? I have some 651's coming and was wondering how much "work" is needed to make them fit in the hole the originals came out of.

I got the Polk DB675's, paid only about $45 shipped on ebay. The DB651's will probably need less work since they 6.50". Mine needed more cutting with a dremel, but it wasn't to bad.

I saw those and the work done by FQ101. I didn't want to do that much work because I park on the street and will have to do one side at a time.

Polk 651
Ok, My speaker story........................ It took most of the day to do 1, yes one speaker! I read and re-read everyone's instructions and then read them again. Getting the door apart and skinned wasn't to bad except for the mirror. I tried and tried to get the plug to let go and after several more tries and a few choice words in every language I know it finally let go. Who knew it's 3 1/2 feet long! I thought it was going to be short but its not.Anyway, I cut through the foam barrier, un-screwed the speaker, went to drill out the grill and my Dremel died!!!!
I packed everything up, re-skinned the door; NOT as easy as everyone says! and went back upstairs to plug in the battery. While I was upstairs a "nice" lutheren(?) left a note (using their letterhead, idiot) on my window calling me and my car f***ers, a**holes etc. because I was parked in the middle of a single space between driveways and appearently because my car is soooooooooo short I should have known that another could park behind me!?? I am going to mail it back with my own choice words.:321:The SUV in the next spot that will fit 2 cars and was taking both spaces didn't have a note. I Wonder why.
Anyway, I finally got the one speaker in after a crap load of trimming, and it sounds great. Having a factory speaker still in I could compare them and it is going to be worth all the work and I'll finish tomorrow, I hope.
P.S. Take the door handle off it goes much easier.
