Question about the CD changer

Some of you can actually see a Smart car at the Smart House, so I'm hoping you can find out the answer to this question.

I understand that the six CD changer will be standard on the Passion models in the U.S. However, I don't know if the radio now is capable of 'stacking' six CD's by taking in one at a time, or if Smart still uses a separate box mounted under the passenger seat for the extra CD's. I'm hoping they are all done inside the radio, since I would like to get a drawer for under the passenger seat.

Could somebody check this out and let us all know, how Smart deals with these extra CD's?
Thanks,

Harleyduo,

I have not been to the smart house, but I believe I can answer this question for you. The standard stereo unit on the Passion Coupe is a single CD player (model Radio 9). A premium unit with the 6 CD player (model radio 10) is optional, and standard on the Passion Cabrio.

The Canadian smart brochure illustrates both units quite will. The radio 10 unit has a single slot on the front to accept the CDs (which presumably are then stacked internally). Note the standard equipment on the Canadian and US smarts are slightly different (Canadian Passions all get the radio 10 as standard).

(radio 9 is on page 29, radio 10 on page 33)

I thought both radio 9 and 10 had an aux input for MP3 players. Can anyone clarify (because I record a lot of radio).

The AUX jack of both radios (input only, not output) is in the glove compartment. Its a mini jack, same size as the iPod standard earphone plug.

You'll need a male to male mini phone cable (available everywhere) to plug in.

That's what I thought - but some of the documents I've seen have been confusing. Thanks!
