Question for anyone with a beige interior

Can anyone who has actually taken delivery of a smart with the beige interior let me know how it is holding up. I configured with a beige interior before I actually saw the car and after seeing one at the dealer today, I don't really like it. I really wish I had gotten the comfort package or for that matter any other color.

So here are my questions:
1) Since it's too late to reconfigure (my car is on the dock at Baltimore already) what can I do to change the look?

2) I know that I can probably get seat covers, but how about the trim and door/dash fabric?

I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

I have a white/silver w/beige interior and I'm still very happy with it. I did notice on the road tour that the beige interior looked stained in a few spots from people getting it dirty. So, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a can of Scotch Guard and sprayed the seats so I wouldn't have that problem. Personally, I like my beige interior.

Dw103,
Out of curiosity - how do you know that your car is at the Baltimore dock? Was your car coming under the vessel's name "Courage" and had a voyage number of EB805-COG?

Yes it was. When I checked today, it indicated that the "Courage" had already departed from Baltimore on its way to the next port, so I am assuming that the car was off-loaded. Hope I'm right.

Ok - thats what I saw too - hehe aren't we obsessed?
I am expecting to pick up my car in Boston and you in NY. I hope the cars get to move fast from where they are to where they are going to ( dealers ) - what is your guess on a time frame?

Amethyste,
One dealer told me two weeks from port to showroom but I have been nervous because there were some posts that seemed to indicate cars were being held up in port for some sort of "inspection" that may have something to do with some of the early problems people have been having. I hope that the two weeks is right though. Been waiting long enough don't you think? Let me know as soon as you hear anything. Yeah, I guess we are obsessed

Recommendation:
1) FILL IN YOUR FORUM PROFILE. Especially your dealer information, your reservation date, configuration date, and details on your configured car.
2) Offer a trade to the forum. Maybe a member here will want the beige interior out in the NY area and will have a reservation date that is shortly behind YOUR reservation date.
Without the information above your desire of a trade it has no beef so readers could consider the swap!!

FORUM READERS this post would be unnecessary if we provided the information prior to posting comments, desires etc.

Humm.. I dont think he was actually proposing a "swap" or anything other than asking what there is to do to have the beige not stain. He "wished" he got the comfort package. He didnt say anything else. Or I am just a retarded reader?

OK , fair enough. I updated my profile. Where is the best place to offer a trade on the forums? Should I start a new thread or is there already one dedicated to trades that I am just not aware of?

He's actually right Amethyste. I had previously been asking about a trade and I would be willing to wait (short) while to get a different interior and the comfort package. Exterior color is not that important to me though. So if you know anyone who might be interested in such a swap, let me know. Thanks

But it was really sweet the way you came to my defense;)
