RichM: Your details are more good news to me. Wish Smartmadness had put a similar note in each package and it would allay a lot of concerns over pp 12-13.

BTW: whats a "P" drill. I have lots of drills but nothing labled like that.

For precision work, you need drills that are in between fraction of inch (or metric) sizes. For instance, if you use a 1/4" drill to make a hole for a 1/4" bolt, it might be rather tight, and you'd like it to be a few ten thousandths larger. Not a problem with wood or plastic, but hard steel is another issue in things like precision auto or aero applications.

So, they make number size drills for the smaller needs, starting from 80 to 1 and then going to letter sizes at around 1/4" from A to Z. Not likely to find them at Tru-Value, but your machinist has sets.

Cheers, Bob

I installed my MDC in a little under an hour...so muss no fuss. Great unit and tracks spot on-even up some of the tall bridges in the area.
The "booster" is a joy! Setting at 3 as Madness recommended, it drives like a different car. The throttle is much more responsive and shift lag has all but disapeared.
Great product and the Madness people, Tim in particular, are top notch!

I put mine in about 4 months ago. IT IS SUPER!! Dont let the speed booster go to waste. It makes it drive like a differant and better car. I would never believe it if I hadn't felt it. Even my wife loves the way it shifts now. I use the cruise every day... It is great.

Of course, if you read around a little, you will find no end of reasoning about how the booster does nothing. I think that they, with all of the arguing and such, are missing the point about the booster.

Our Toyota Scion xB has the same throttle problem as have our other recent Toyota low end purchases. That is, you push and push on the gas pedal and nothing happens. Then, all of a sudden, you've got enough throttle fed into the car's engine that you take off like a rocket.

With the smart, we have the opposite problem. Yes, I understand that the booster does not "add any power" to what the engine already offers. But, as I understand it, it recalibrates the gas pedal so that you get more throttle for less push. If that's what it does, that's just fine in my book.
