Is it possible my radio 10 is defective?

I can't get the menu function to work correctly!

When I have the radio on and I push the menu button, the only choice I get is LOUDNESS... the right and left arrow doesn't work (like it says in the radio manual) AND I don't get an indication they should work by having it light up on the display saying there are more choices!!! WEIRD!!!

BUT... if I hold down the menu button I get an AUX display (on or off) and I can use the left and right arrows to select another menu selection... I can't figure out what is going on here!!!

I think in the US thats the only menu choice you get in radio mode. In CD mode you'll get a few more (random, repeat), and I'm not sure what you get in Aux mode.

Can someone else with a radio 10 confirm this I have the US manual and it states in the radio operational book that there are other choices... including RDS for the radio display.

if you notice there's a 1 next to two of the choices - not applicable in the US. While the Radio TXT does not have a 1 following it, I don't get the choice either - its just Loudness.

Yes Virginia...the Radio 10 is a pure POS

As is the premium sound 5 speaker upgrade too

Sure.... some one here will bust my chops and say something about it being a cheap azz econo car...

BUT I say.... for $350 I sure had much higher expectations

No Virginia I am not some prima donna audiophile...

Just an old man that would like to listen to AM radio for the news, weather, and local farm report...perhaps occasionally poke around the FM dial and know who and what song is being played

Every base or standard version radio in our domestic cars has these simple features...since 2005

Your radio is not defective. There are no more menu choices for us in the US in radio mode besides loudness.
As a side-note, I have to agree with "Grumpy" above. I was expecting a bit more as well. It sucks to pay for "Premium Sound" and still end up with semi-acceptable average sound.
(Sorry for the "Grumpy" comment Fredvon4. You must have been up past your bedtime. hehehe)

My text mode does not show any text in any source (I do not have an iPod hooked up). Is that normal too?

This radio... so sad. I agree with everyone. With what's currently out in the marketplace, to call this a "Premium Radio" is embarrassing. Especially when you don't even have rear speakers to fill in that void. Time for an aftermarket upgrade.

Speaking of Loudness - how does that work for others, that is, is there a notable difference with it on or off? I can't tell any difference with mine!
