[Old SGM]

Every time I start the car the radio comes on. I turn it off, then the next time I start the car it comes back on again. I read the owners manual and could not find any mention of this feature, that I don't like. I want to turn the radio off and have it stay off until I turn it on again.

Is this the same on all Smarts?

A couple days ago it was raining, I had the front wipers going and backed into a parking place, the rear window wiper came on all by its self. Neet feature, but again I did not see that listed in the owners manual.

Thanks, I did a search and found the answer. Base radio comes on everytime you start car, regardless if you want it on or had it on. I will use the advise of putting the radio in aux before I shut down the car.

I also found the answer to the rear wipers, yes they do come on when you have the front wipers on and go into reverse. Even through I do not have the comfort package, my front wipers did go on intermittent when I was waiting at a red light, then they returned to normal setting when I accelerated away from the light. Today is day 6, so far my complaints are the radio turning on when I start the car and the steering wheel does not adjust up and down.
