Can you share photos? How difficult was the power adapter install?

I recently purchased a new XM unit in a smaller size just for my smartie. Cost a whole $6!.

Thanks for sharing.
Here is a picture of the mount - I didn't take in progress photos and don't want to disassemble it all again - didn't mout the arm properly the first time and it got loose. I split the flexible cover over the arm and tucked all the wires into it and then zip-tied them at the bottom before running them under the trim. I put the power adapter in against the firewall in the passenger footwell, tied all the wires up under the dash and ran the antenna up to the dash - passenger's side near the defrost vent. The wire for that is easy to run up the side of the dash and tuck under the trim to secure it. I also made use of 3M On Command cable hooks to keep everything routed neatly. You have to get under the dash to see any of this, from the passenger or drivers seat you just see the XM Roady XT and the arm.

The mount, antenna, and power adapter all came from www.myradiostore.com.

I'm wondering if I could get a really cheap piece of equipment and take a subscription for a year or two. What would that cost do you think? Also, are they easy to install? Any suggestions? Would I have to do any wiring?
Thanks,
Call the dealer and make an appointment to have service check the antenna connection at the radio. It sounds as if the coax is not connected to the radio's detection circuits and you are receiving stations that are strong enough to (brute force) their way into the system.

I am not impressed with the AUX input for MP3 players either. This just takes the amplified output of my Ipod and re-amplifies it through the radio. There is no docking, therefor the Ipod does not charge. On long trips, this would be an issue. I'm planning on changing my radio (9) out anyway (new speakers too).

I've only had the car a couple of days, but, so far, the radio 9 reception is much better that the radio I have in my other car.

I was, however, expecting the reception on the raio 9 to be like my other car so before even getting my car I bought an MP3 player to use in the AUX jack. The MP3 player works great provided I remember to set the volume on the player to maximum.
