Radio#9 not as listed in manual

After looking @ my manual for radio 9 mine is of lesser then one that is in book. Do not have most of the features it was to have.No RDS,PTY,TA, AF,or any sub functions. I don't know if this was a poor sub or wrong radio? Paid for the radio 9 Please inform as I will go back to dealer if this is the wrong radio.

Don't they have footnotes designated by an astrix that says some of those options are not on US radios?

What is RDS,PTY,TA, AF?

Does radio 9 have shuffle, repeat, balance and fade for the speakers?
Also becides the apparent missing features on radio 9 is their setup pretty much the same?

I have a radio 10, so don't know the answers but if the radio manual covers the 9 as well as it does the 10 the answers are there

RDS = Radio Data Service, text via the radio.
PTY= Program type, transmitted by the station, (Rock, Jazz, Talk)
TA= Traffic Announcement, signals that a station gives a traffic report, lets the radio switch stations or turn off the CD so you can listen in.
AF= Station in Europe have several different frequencies as you drive around the country. This lets the radio auto switch when moving from one area to another.

All NOT available on USA Radio 9 and Radio 10 units.
