what if we started our OWN "DDE" on this forum?

we can collect our own data on zip codes, reservation dates and numbers, configuration dates and of course delivery dates.

what do ya think?

I'll contribute. Just let me know when and what you want. I just visited my dealer again, and she told me she wished they'd never put up the DDE as it is so BOGUS! I'd love to develop our own DDE. Here is the info you mentioned:
zip code: 02895
reservation date: June 25, 2007 (res #1271)
configuration date: January 28, 2008
DDE states: June 28, 2008 to September 26, 2008 (this was the 5th change since 3/31/08)

Let me know what else you'd like.

i'll start compiling the data and see where we stand. we will also need some that HAVE taken delivery as well. of course, 'we' have no control over what smartville can produce, but it 'might' shed some light on when they are breaking off production for 2008, 2009 etc.....;)

thanks everyone!!! keep the info coming in. i'll be working on this the next couple days and once we get more of a data base, we'll see how true smart usa's DDE is running.

I think the DDE is SPOT ON! My car was placed on the boat yesterday, and my DDE started its 90 window 4/20. My feeling is the start of the DDE closely anticipates/coincides with its built date.

BTW, there is a wealth of data already in two separate DDE threads in the delivery sub forum
