Wonder why, when one clicks on "fleet" on afore mentioned geniusride's site, the picture of the 2008 smart is a 450?

WOW! I expected we would have smarts for rent in the US but these prices seem a bit outrageous!

451 Coupe Daily Rate - $80/weekday, $90/weekend (Weekly $540)
451 Cabrio Daily Rate - $90/weekday, $100/weekend (Weekly $610)

Eventually, after the wonder of the car has worn off, hopefully the price will reflect more competitive pricing.

As I remember, even in Europe rental of a smart is higher than other larger cars

Those prices aren't bad at all. Seem perfectly reasonable to me.

Remember they are a small business with big overhead. Insurance, rent, repairs on the vehicles, cleaning, etc...

It's not like they are dollar or avis and can afford to lose money on some rentals and make it up on others.
