Reprogram of the clutch!!!!! GREAT!!!!

If you haven't had your clutch flashed with the new programming, you don't know how much better the Smart car can shift. Faster, firmer and a whole lot less searching for a gear!

Is this a dealer thing or is this an aftermarket flash?

Just curious... Was this done under warranty or did you have to pay for the update? Thanks.

It is downloaded Directly from Germany into your OBDII port using your cars Vin# for current reference... Its only free if your car has been diagnosed with a no reverse Problem... The name of the update is: "Combined Reverse Fix & Soft-Shift Update"... If you do not have a Problem, you will pay about $45.00 for it... I had to pay for it because I did not have a diagnosed reverse problem, BUT I had it put in to get the latest factory shift improvement... I did notice a "little" shift improvement...

Is this only for the 2010 Smarts? Or previous years also?
