I have heard that there are now more reservations than there will be smarts this year. Does this mean that all new reservations are for 2009 models? If so, has anyone heard anything about changes being made for this model? Thanks for any information. I test drove one yesterday with my fiance, and I am sold (and I think he's coming around). I've been reading about these cars for months, and I am making my reservation today. His name will be pluto.
No firm info yet on when the model changeover will be or what will be involved (more colors, microhybrid drive, etc. are open questions at this point.) I wouldn't worry about it - if you like the car, go ahead and reserve. If you change your mind later, the $99 is fully refundable.
