Response for smart car 'naysayers'

I've kind of adapted this from my Jeep days and well, I think it works great for those who like to insult our intelligence and our cars. I suggest each time someone makes a derogatory comment about your smart, respond with the following:

"It's a smart thing, you wouldn't understand!"

In fact, it would make a great T-Shirt, don't ya think?

Until Jeep sued.....

I have that Jeep logo on the tire cover on my Jeep.

Don't know how I'd feel about plagiarizing that famous logo.....

Well, it is a smart thing, and there are plenty who don't understand...yet
A jeep friend of mine suggested that as well...

I think that would make a cool shirt. I am almost certain that Jeep does NOT own the copyright on the original phrase, so using it should be fine.

Looking at "You wouldn't understand" it seems they did trademark the phrase which makes it interesting that others managed to trademark similar phrases. Maybe something lapsed on the first one:

Jeep did not trademark "You wouldn't understand", they trademarked "IT'S A JEEP THING...YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND." As long as you are talking about smarts and not jeeps, you are not violating Jeeps trademark.

I searched on the partial phrase to get any matches to that part of the phrase. Its obvious they didn't trademark "You wouldn't understand."

I thought the USPTO would disallow anything blatantly similar such as "Got Junk?" or "Got Heat?" instead of "Got Milk?"

I think if you were to put it on a T-Shirt, it would read something like this:

"It's a smart thing,
you wouldn't understand"
.....own one to know one!

btw, I work for a Jeep dealer and I have no knowledge of "Jeep" actually having a 'trademark' on that saying. Just saying.....
