Retrofitting parts from Passion to Pure...

Well I took the gamble. I had a end of year allocation from last year's deposit. A dealership has a white/black tridion with panorama roof and I couldn't resist it now.

The good things is I don't need any of the radio, seat warmers, different seat covering etc etc. Car is going to be ripped apart next week for audio & dynamatting, Recaro seats, Alcantara custom interior, coilovers, and some custom 3 piece forged wheels. It got tinted today, tomorrow HID's are being installed.

My problem thought is I really need A/C lol. I was thinking about retrofitting the A/C, power windows and power mirrors. I was told by a Mercedes tech it would be a nightmare (how bad could it really be, I'm already tearing the car apart) and extremely cost prohibitive (upwards or $3500 alone for wire harness). Was this a sway to drive me away from trying? I don't necessarily care if the A/C is factory or not, but I would like to run a factory condensor seeing how it's already made for the car.

Any input guys? Here's a pic of her butt.

Almost anything but AC. Yes it can be fitted but it will cost more money than trading for one with it already, plus it will take days of constant work to fit.
Engine out for a start to fit the compressor, new aux wheel and belt. Piping, evap radiator need fitting so that means removing most of the front of the car, maybe even the steering and suspension beam.
The entire interior will have to be removed to fit the heat exchanger and install a drain.
New heater controller, wiring loom and possibly heater box. The temperature sensor will need activating and the SAM will need coding for the AC.

That's all I can think of but i'm sure there is a lot more.

I'll bet he can do it, but you might think twice about the delivery.

I was just talking to my friend that owns 702 motoring and he said that it shouldn't be a problem to do it especially if the car is apart for audio and interior. I think I'm going to have to trailer it out soon. Hey it's in Vegas so another reason to plan a trip. Only thing I have to find out is if SMART will sell me the parts lol.

I guess Eric since you have no patience for waiting , you'll just have to cough up the $$ to make the smart the way you want it. With enough cash I suppose anything you want done can be done.

Took the car apart today for an HID install and realized everything is pre-wired for the foglights, radio, etc. Was pretty cool.
