Roof not sealed

I gave my smart its usual bath and rub and was looking at the rear spoiler. It seams to not be lining up level with the top. Then i noticed something that really bugged me......

My top is not sealed on the drivers rear side. The adhesive is not as thick as the passenger side and I can see the interior through the 1/16-1/8" gap.

Man the last thing i wanted was having to have the lexan top messed with. I just dont feel it would ever be the same if they remove it. @@$%%^

Update:

Took smart by smart center of Round Rock. They looked at the detached roof. Called smart rep. Put me in a loaner and are now resolving the issue.

My hat's off to RR smart and particularly the Parts manager and supporting vendor here, Paul Bridle, for his prompt and professional handling of my issue.(Throw some business his way...)

That's great! I say smart service should be some of the best in the nation! They actually care for their customer!

Last week I made an inquiry about any available smarts at smart center Lake Bluff and they made sure I had all of my questions solved.

But the smart I want is at Loeber Motors, which would let me both add miles to the smart when I get it and get some freeway driving in on day 1.

Have Lake Bluff get the car from Loeber Motors.

Your Smart Center can make things happen! If you prefer Lake Bluff, work to give them your business! Let them work to deserve it!

Well now after thinking about it, I'd like to go to Loeber Motors because the way there won't be as fun as the way back

smart center lake bluff is not too close to any highways so I'll only get "city" like driving on the way home. I really want to see the smart on I-94.

Got smartie back today. They did an excellent job. They removed the panoramic roof and resealed it using the proper smart adhesive kit. Much quieter!! Never know they removed it. Top notch work at smartcenter Round Rock!!

Oh..... while I was these I picked up one of those armrest Paul has on sale in in the vendor section. I did not realize what i was missing until i drove home with it installed.
I got the Silver one and it matches the trim great.

LOANER!!! I had to hoof it after I drove 300+ miles to my dealer of choice, plus I had to spend the night. That being said, the car WAS out of warranty and it was for crazing that the roof was replaced. So they worked on my car out of warranty (but it was still barely a year old) I guess I'll shut up and color.

Glad they fixed it. Good news
