Maybe this wasn't malicious and was a really bad job of making breakfast (totally missing the pan).

...it's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt or worst...gets killed...
...here in Indy last year this man got tired of getting his car egged and shot one of the kids doing the prank..the kid die and he's doing time...

All I know is that I'm just devastated. Trying to decide if it's a good idea to file a claim with my insurance. I'd been trying so hard to keep her in perfect condition, and now she'll never be the same again.

You should go to your nearest police station and file a report. They will not investigate but sometimes they see a pattern and the RATS get caught.

The first summer after I brought my wee smartie home, it was egged every few days for about two weeks. The black tridion still has a concentric "crazed" spot where one egg must have bee thrown very hard and hit end-on.

I no longer live in that neighborhood.

For what it's worth, in case it ever happens to anyone else, blotting with white vinegar and then rinsing with clean water seems to be helping with the egg stains.
