Thought you were getting her today...
Ever hear the term "Blue Highways"? Fellow named William Least Heat-Moon wrote a wonderful book titled; Blue Highways A journey into America
Fun and excellent read if you can find a copy (Amazon?)
The Blue Highways refer to a road color on maps. They are the secondary and back roads connecting this great country.
150 miles home from Portland to Lincoln City includes a wonderful and scenic ride to Tillamook on Hwy 6 for lunch while motor cools. Then down to Cape Lookout State Park for a photo shoot of the new Lil Bugger in one of the prettiest location on this earth. (motor cools again). Then a nice jaunt down to Pacific City a slow roll through the cool little town letting every one gawk at the Lil Bugger. They can see her close up Parked Out side at a neat little café (I can not for the life of me remember the name. Renie and I had a very nice time there while dense fog had us seeking warmth and coffee one morning)
Anyway, you get the idea...Portland smart Center back to Lincoln City can be a long but exceptionally exquisite trip with oodles of places to stop and enjoy Oregon coast, people, wildlife, ocean cliffs, snacks and pic nic first adventure in the funl little car for two.
PS. You have waited a long time for the car...make getting it a well thought out adventure....You do not have to take delivery the exact day she comes off the transporter. Pre do a lot of the purchase, plan the time of pickup to allow you a leisurely first day experience on the way home with your new baby.
