Would it have been more on topic if they asked if the "smart" was "safe" for a Maltese.

and no more off topic than a motorcycle going through the side of a VW...
and it at least took 4-pages to go completely off topic!

Would that depend if he is the driver or the passenger?

He has no valid argument that's why. He made some half assed remark about a Smart Car vs. a 7800 lb F-350, which is retarded b/c most SUV's aren't even in this gigantic weight class, let alone econo sedans.

The Smart Car is quite impressive safety wise with its rollcage like cell and breakaway technology. This is safer than most unibody economy car that are 2-4 seater.

The cards cover who makes it; the price; the engine; milege; how fast it goes; dimensions and space; safety; and how to get one.

It is easier to hand an inquisitor one of the cards than to stand there wasting time and breath with would-be comedians. People's reactions to the cards and then the car itself have been quite positive. No one has handed the card back.
Absolutely! I requested a stack because I'd read this forum before buying and understood that I'd be approached a lot. I've owned my smart passion for a week now and I've been approached by more than twenty people asking the same questions! What's the mileage? How safe is it? Where's the pull string?

I keep my stack of cards in the driver's door also and just hand 'em out one by one! I'm always thanked by the folks I hand them to also! What a GREAT car!!!

I agree.

I have driven my '95 Geo Metro for 13 years and never got in a single accident... been driving farm trucks and other equipment for much, much longer and only had one minor grill scrape because of ice. Safe or unsafe driving depends very much on the driver itself. Even with the idiots out there, you have to think ahead and say, "I know I'm getting off here, I'm in a much smaller car than everybody, I don't think I'll wait until the last minute to change lanes... I'll get in that lane sooner than everyone else!"
