Saw a BRABUS in real life for the 1st time

I was at Smart Center of SF yesterday, picking up our 2nd smart, and Bill, the sales manager, told me that a couple of BRABUS models had been delivered for people. He let me take a peek at them--one silver and one black. I have to say that at first glance, it is a VERY sharp car. The wheels are beautiful, the lowering has a nice effect, and the body kit is snazzy. I'd like to drive one soon to see how good the suspension is. Too bad we don't have the upgraded engine like in Europe.

He mentioned that later on they will be able to upgrade any smart with the BRABUS kit for $5,000--just a bit over the premium of having the kit when you order the car. It will include the body bits, the wheels (I imagine this must be the bulk of the cost) and tyres, and the suspension. I'm planning on refinancing my car soon, so . . . very tempted.

I'd rather do my own wheels and my own body kit and my own suspension and get it to look BETTER than a Brabus.

Not trying to be a debby downer, just that for 5k, you can do better.

BTW, I'm not terribly impressed w/ the 15's in front and 17s in back. Just looks off to me.
