Scan Gauge Calibration

I getting close to the point of a second fill-up with the Scan Gauge and I'm wondering... Is the Calibration a one time deal OR do yo do it each time you fill up the car?

I used to calibrate it every time until I think I finally got it right, since then I stopped doing it. I think it's a judgement call, if you think you filled up the same several times in a row from the same pump and the readout is about the same on mileage as when figured out manually (tank gallons/miles) it's time to leave it alone.IMHO Chumly

I normally do it the first three or four fillups when I get a new Scangauge. Been using them since the introduction of the SGII when they would get all the orders in first then manufacture them after they knew how many units were sold. It would take a few weeks to get one.

I tweak mine if the fill up is not with in a 10th. Normally this only when I fill up at my trusted station on the same pump 2 times in a row.

Thanks, I did my second fill-up today with the Scan Gauge attached; I'm a happy camper now.

Even if I'm off by a bit, the numbers should be reasonably close... However, I will check it over time to see if I WAY off of "close enough for government work".

continues to get better and better with each successive fill up. Only off 1/10 of a gallon which I think is really close.
