My SGII MPH and my Ecometer MPH matched my GPS too, so my smart speedo is also 3mph high. The instantaneous MPG readings on any device (whether SGII or Ecometer) are the least accurate for driving efficiency. You can expect to see 120mpg (or more) on the instant mpg display when coasting because that reading is just a momentary expression of the mileage that you would get if you continued to coast at your current speed for 120 miles. Understand? I own both the SGII and the Ecometer. I prefer the Ecometer for its simplicity: Easy to program, easy to mount, easy to read. No extraneous data that doesn't add any value to my fuel economy efforts. Don't get me wrong, the SGII is a wonderful, multi-functional tool, and I'll keep it for its other benefits, its just overkill for using as a fuel economy coach.
