Seat Belt extenders

Now that you have had your smarts for a while, has anybody found any seatbelt extenders that do not bolt to the frame? My wife is large and needs one for when she wants to take lil penguin for a spin. Any ideas?

Smart here wants like 250 for each NEW belt installed before labor. I dont need a new belt, just an extender. I found one on ebay that might work. I actually own it, through my toyota dealership. The auction said it fits Mercedes cars, so Im going to run by tonight and try it on a smart there first.

FORD belt extender works

Howdy all

I use a belt extender from a 2005 FORD TAURUS in my smart.
(Actually, I use two, one on each seat)

Go to your local FORD dealer parts dept and ask "nicely" and they should be able to get you one (or two) cost is my favorite word . . . FREE?

Isn't that a safety problem that should be covered through your dealership?
