I had a Safari Van with a conversion that had short seat belts. The dealer said they were required by law to supply them (1 set per car) if asked.

If Im too big for the seat belt, thats my fault. Smart can install a larger seat belt for a large fee, but I dont want that. Usually, if you pick up one of these extenders, the parts dealer will tell you they are not responsible if you die because of the extender. But we have been in tons of instances where the seat belt stopped us and my wife's extender worked just like it should: and extension of the belt.

I just wish that the connector from the floor stuck up more. Big hands don't always get it out from next to the e-brake easily. Can't find anything stiff enough though, they are all for extending the loose part.

My wife has the same problem. Get you a free extender and leave it in the female part, the one you have problems getting to, and detach from the extender. Did that make sense?

Yeah, but the flimsy ones just fall down in the middle and I have to dig them out that same. I just need one that's 4-6 inches and stiff as a board. Most of the ones I have found are too long. If I can find one short enough, I'll just put a plastic casing on it to keep it from dropping down.

I would say lay in the seat next to you, we do that, but I bet you have already tried that. They are far and few between, but I have seen one stiff extender years ago. Either that, or Im mixing extenders with teh school bus seat belts I have seen... If I had my smart, I could help more. Can you post a pic of the seatbelt extender you havein action, hooked to the female end of the seatbelt?
