Those seat covers does not cover up the airbag. There's a slit on both sides of the airbag that is very well done (making it appear it's covered). I had those on my MINI and before you put the seat covers on you can see where they had the cut out for the airbag. Once the seat cover is on the seat you really have to stretch the seat cover to notice the opening for the airbag. Somewhere on their website has a video of the seat airbag going off with the seat covers on. They are the best covers I've come across. If I have the money I'd get that for my smart. But it's well worth it.
Bought the Wet Okole and love them! They fit great. There is another seat cover thread here that has an extensive discussion about seat covers. I posted pics of mine there, but here they are again. Expensive - yes - but they are made to last and very high quality!
