I know where your coming from. I use to be a rural mailcarrier and tried to do most of the work myself to save time and money with repairs. In 1992 I bought a Dodge Spirit and in the owners manual there was a form you could send in to get the actual shop manuals for the Spirit. The cost was $80 but you got 3 manuals that covered each part of the car. I was lucky cause I bought 2 more Spirits after that and Dodge never changed anything on the Spirit so I was able to keep using the manuals. What also is nice about the online Kia site is it also tells you about any TSB's and recall's.
