should I remove my DT exhaust if getting serviced?

I am going to bring my car in for service and wondered if I should remove my DT exhaust for warranty reasons or if it is OK under warranty to have this after market exhaust on?

This question goes back to dozens of other posts, but basically "NO". It can only affect your warranty if it is found to be the "cause" of failure of the item in question.
IE, if the radio is broken, did the exhaust cause the failure? If the windshield cracked, was it caused by the exhaust? ETC...

DITTO! i agree with these guys too.

HOWEVER, if you feel the need to take if off while having service work performed, you can simply send it to MY house for safe keeping!

I've talked to my service guys about my DTH exhaust, and there really shouldn't be a problem unless you have a problem that is DIRECTLY related to the exhaust, and by that I mean that the exhaust is the source of your problem. With the number to aftermarket add-ons that are being put on our smarts, people would be removing and reinstalling parts all the time. IMO - smart USA has stayed away from endorsing or encouraging aftermarket parts in order to limit their liability and warranty exposure.

I'm leaving mine on when I take it in for servicing - my knuckles are just healing from the first install!
