From the manual (page 152): Do not turn the air distribution control
permanently to positionP. The air condi
tion switches on independently of other set
tings. The indicator lamp on switch 2 then
does not come on.
The vehicle’s fuel consumption increases and
the driving performance may be influenced.
thanks for pointing that out. based my comment on waiting for the windows to clear and turned on the AC and bingo... placebo effect?
thanks karl
will have to wait to look as the lady of the house has driven off with lil booger again

That may be related to outside temperature too. The manual has this to add: The air condition will be suspended tem
porarily:
• if the engine speed is too low
• when driving off
The air condition is switched off:
• at a coolant temperature of more
than 239°F (115°C)
• at outside temperatures below 38°F (3°C)

(what language is this manual translated from?)

There are errors everywhere, showroom included that seem to stem from poor translation. "Tacky yet unrefined" just for our market ya think

the outside temp was below 38 when I pushed the button and I could feel the compressor kick in and could feel it disengage when the windows cleared and I switched it off. odd ? The manual is excellent for providing warning has anyone counted them all.

Jsouth's post.

Ron. I think you kind of hi-jacked this thread. J was asking for some input on his no AC car order, not a nuts and bolts thread on window defrost.

Perhaps another thread would be useful.
