I don't care if she was driving a Smart of a Beemer, it is still rude. With that said, I wouldn't get bent out of shape about it. Nor would I finding shocking that another Smart owner would act this way. People are people.

Just because we share the same type of cars doesn't mean we have the same happy-go lucky attitude.

Personally, I don't smoke, but there are some Smart owners on this forum that I'd like nothing more then to send a cigarette butt their way if I saw them on the streets (no I'm not naming names).

That lady was rude and she had a Smart. I'm sure she's not the only one but she's definitely in the very small minority so don't let that affect your friendly gesture towards others this week.

Maybe she was having a bad day, that being said I find cigarette smokers in general to share a similar attitude. Especially the ones that burn down entire sections of their state they live in. That has to be one of my biggest pet peeves is smokers who chunk butts out of the window and think nothing of it.

As far a other owners not sharing the same enthusiasm, I've run across that and think maybe they were just stunned to see another on the road and by the time I passed - what just happened hasn't actually soaked in yet.

I think so; I get alot of flack from people when we have the GTI out. Just yesterday I had some idiot driving an Escalade try to beat me off a red light, I"d pull away, he'd speed up, finally, I sped up to around 110mph, and he probably figured he had used a half a tank of gas already.

There are just too many scenarios to list here. Was she really the owner? Could she have been a smart thief? Smoking?! It's uncomprehensible!
No worries, move on and keep up the great attitude! Don't let this inhibit your smart greeting for others. We are a rare but lovable breed, aren't we?
