Does anyone know what kind of bicycle racks you can use on the Smart?

smart sells a bike rack as an accessory. You can't see it (yet) on the smart US site, but it's on the UK smart site.

bike rack blues

The Smart bike rack won't arrive till 3rd quarter, which in my world is the beginning of ski season.

I have looked into having a hitch attached, but the guy won't do it because of liability issues.

Please if someone figures something out- contact me asap!

I am singing the smart car blues.

Or you can go on craigslist and get the Q-towers, cross-bars, a ski/snowbard carrier, a bike carrier, and locks for $100.00 and order the appropriate Q-clips for $60.00.

:-)

Smart Car Universe (Hitch)/Hollywood Bicycle Racks

I just purchased a hitch through Smart Car Universe:

Smart Car Parts and Accessories » Smart Car Universe .com

And a Hitch Rack at Hollywood Bicycle Racks:

Hollywood Racks, bike racks, bicycle carriers, trunk racks, hitch racks - Great Racks Since 1973

The reason I went with Hollywood for the rack is because I ride a recumbent bicycle:

SUN BICYCLES

It's a Sun E-Z Sport AX which has a wheelbase at 62". Hollywood offers an optional extension to fit recumbents. So far I've been very happy with it.
