I had mine at the Jamesburg NJ Memorial parade. One has to be on the list to participate. One even gets a certificate showing that one is participating. I went representing the church I go to. The pastor was my passenger. He is bigger than I am and I weigh 330 pounds at 6 feet tall ( he is slightly shorter than I am but bigger in another way).
Hmmm crashing a parade you were not invited too. I think you're off to a nice start of giving smart owners a bad name. What will happen if some other smart owner asks parade organizers to legitimately join in they'll get a immediate NO. I bet you're the kind that would crash a funeral precession too.
The point is it's hard enough driving a smart with the numb nuts out there judging. The act of crashing parade and having a flag bashing the governor of a state on "memorial day" which is suppose to be a time of reflection not a political event for you too voice distaste for a politician. This sounds like something a Prius owner would do (can't stand them). There no doubt people who saw that flag who thing smart owners are douches now. I really really don't want to be a jerk about this but I just don't think it's right sticking political mess in on "memorial day" (disrespectful of those who died). I probably wouldn't even have batted a eye at your "crashing" had it not been for that label you put on video boosting of having flag dissing governer. It's more what you did at your crash that bothers me.
We decided to crash our local Memorial Day Parade in New Providence, NJ. Of course, nobody stopped us because the car just looked too cool!!! We drove down to were the parade lineup started. Pulled in behind some brownie troop, cranked some hair metal and let it roll.
My passenger served 2 tours in Iraq. We were waving flags because we love our country. The sign went up for 2 seconds when we passed our neighbors. The parade was full of politicians who were running for election in a few weeks. The kids loved the Smart and their parents never stopped filming and taking photos. Through out the parade they kept yelling out ''you guys rock''. The parade ended in my church parking lot were my Paster and his wife said ''you guys made the parade''. PS, My dad and grandfather were standing next to the camera when we went by. They are both Veterans and really enjoyed the spirit inwich we participated. LOL, Could i have gone to the town and asked to be in the parade, Sure. Would it have been as much fun, NO Way! Life is short so try to lighten up a bit. Im not worried about what people think of Smart owners as long as they keep smiling when i drive by. With respect, Godbless

Our brave men and women died, not because they wanted to be recognized on Memorial Day, but to protect us and our freedom that we have in this country. That includes freedom of expressing ourselves and freedom of speech. I see nothing wrong with what you did.
Personally, I wouldn't crash ANY parade to begin with. I don't like to draw personal attention to myself when I'm driving. To be in a parade is to ask for attention.
If asked along with others, I would do it. To be by myself....I'll pass. But that's just me.
