Smart Car Ownership Make Me nervous.

Even though I’m a long ways off getting my smart car owning one makes me nervous. Everyone talks about how much attention they get when they own one. Well I’m kind of a reserve shy quiet person at times. It takes me a while to open up to People. So how do I deal with all this attention I’m expecting to get when I finally become a Smart Car owner.

You will fall right into it. Nothing like a smart to bring a shy quiet person out to talk to people. I think you will like it. Be sure and have some printed info sheets to hand out to people that want to know about the car and you won't have to talk as much....unless you want to.

Don't worry

Hi David,
don't worry I am also shy and have owned my smart roadster for 4 years now, the roadster is even more of a headturner than the for2, and people are always coming up to me in carparks and asking me about it, it is no problem as they have asked me a question about one of my favourite subjects, my smarty, so it is easy to talk to them as long as you know a little about your car, so gen up before you get it so you won't be thrown by any questions.
Hope you get one, as they are brill.
Ellis

get tinted windows, wear shades, avoid eye contact. works for me when I don't want company. (kinda rare, tho! )

You tend to come out of your shell a bit with a smart ;)

It's a good thing.

Before you know it, you'll be picking up girls with cheesy lines like, "hey baby... is your daddy a thief? Because someone stole the stars from the skies and put them in your eyes" and impressing the boss with casual conversation about the aligator you wrestled on the weekend or your recent jaunt to "the islands".

Its the good life. Enjoy.

I am kind of like you in that I really do NOT like being the center of attention. The crowds and questions were a real annoyance at first, but since there are now more smarts on the road the novelty has worn off and nobody bothers me now. I don't think you need be concerned.
