Speaking of older cars I wanted a Plymouth Arrow when I was in High School! Of course gas was pretty cheap back then but still 39mpg.....

HEY! My sister had one of those brand new - medium blue metallic with white interior. A GREAT reliable car - might have helped her decision was based on my father was the service manager at the local Plymouth dealer. (continuing to veer off-topic was totally intentional as I'm thinking everyone has proved their point)

Oh, I did have a Toyota Tercel wagon everyone used to ask me to give them rides in. This was only on snowy days though - it was 4WD and would pull up those icy hills no problem. Got super mileage too - one of the few cars I regret getting rid of.

Speaking of first cars, mine was a 1967 Ford Thunderbird -- white with turquoise leather interior. I *loved* that car. I paid $800 for it in 1973 and sold it in 1977 for $800.

It only got 7-8 mpg, but gas was $.17/gallon so I didn't care. Of course, I only made $300/MONTH at the time. But I still didn't care. I loved driving that car.

any comparison of these 2 cars is nearly irrelevent. the 92 car could never be made today due to changes in safety and emissions standards.

completely faulty comparison.

i loved those little 4X4 wagons....Honda had their Civic AWD Wagon and it would go in the snow ANYWHERE. i always wanted to cross one of those with my CRX and make a CRX Si AWD. talk about wild......
