Indians might have better luck getting one through the EU than through China.

There is a similar one in India called the Tata Nano. India is not listed at the main Smart site. Perhaps if some one there wanted to open a dealership for them, they would come to Inida?

Tata can't even finish the negotiations for the placement of the factory.....I would not expect to see any of them rolling off a line anytime soon...
