smart center Orlando would like to welcome you to our Grand Opening/ 1st anniversary party. It is going to be the grandest social smart event of 2009. With over 60 smart cars and 120 people having already confirmed their attendance this will be the largest smart event in the eastern united states and maybe the entire US!
Dave Schembri, the president of smart USA has indicated he will be coming. This will be an awesome opportunity to meet with him and pass your ideas along about our company and the cars.
We will have food and beverages, music, drawings for door prizes, how-to sessions held by our parts and service manager Garrett Heady and lots more. We are still finalizing the details but we anticipate radio station coverage, a professional photographer to take glamour shots with your smart, and several companies such as ULTIMATE AUDIO, BREATHLESS PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS, KIDD'S KUSTOM SMARTS, & EUROPEAN TOYS to come and show off all their accessories and showcase their beautiful custom cars.
Julie, Judson, Garrett and I are very excited for the party. We appreciate your support and enthusiam and can't wait to see everyone come out to enjoy themselves and show off their unique smart. We could use your help to make this a great event. We are interested in more door prizes such as gift certificates and volunteers to help with parking. Also if you have any contacts that may be able to help us entice the local news media to cover the event it would be super helpful. Please contact me if you can help out!

Hello from Canada,

A group of Canadians smart owners (450 and 451) from Montreal is planning to join you and our fellow american friends for the smart party event scheduled for February 8, 2009.

As of now, a group of members from the Club smart du Quebec is planning to leave montreal February 5, 2009 in a rally formula going all the way to your place in Orlando. We are now in the planning stage and we will notify you on our plans later on when they are complete. Most of us are also going in Florida for a few days of vacation away from the cold.

If you can speak french, you can see the interest we have for this event in Club smart du Quebec forum on the Web.

We will announced our travel plans, schedule and itinerary on most web sites for smart in Canada and the USA including rally points along the way. Total mileage from Montreal :1450 miles and estimate time 23 hours 45 minutes. Two drivers per car.
