In my never ending fiddling with what to configure once I get the email, I've created an Excel spreadsheet to do the quick and dirty calculations for me. I wanted something that would easily configure a car and give me my estimated total cost.
I figured I might as well offer it for y'all to use when deciding what to put on your Pure or Passion, or when comparing the two. Sorry, no Cabrio, but it would be easy to modify if that's your interest.
Here's my "read me" that is in the .ZIP archive:

Use the attached smart Coupe Configurator to determine the cost of your smart coupe, or to compare the Pure and Passion costs and options. It is easy to use as long as you don't change any of the cells where I have formulas. I've left the file unlocked so that you can edit as needed.
User Input:
Enter your local tax rate using the X.XX% format (my example shows 6.75%)
Enter your expected dealer document fees. There are several threads on SCoA discussing these.
Enter your local license title fees (I took a guess at $50)
Then you are ready to play "what if?" games. Simply enter a one in the "Pick" column for options you want, and empty them for options you don't want. Don't use a space or you will get an error. Either 1 or empty (zero works, too.) You will obviously want to leave the one in the car's line as well as the destination charges, since they are both always in your cost.
You can do the same thing using smartusa.com's configurator, but this is quick and easy, and adds the extra costs giving you a better idea of your final cost.
Enjoy,
Steve (smorris on SCoA)
