Smart Dash: Fabric/Cloth issues

Has anyone thought about the dash materials used in the Smart? I have wondered about keeping it clean and dust free. It looks GREAT when new, but what will happen in 1, 2 or 3 years, after dust and dirt have accumulated on the dash area? Has anyone heard about dash covers or such, to help protect this area? Comments?

Just vacuum frequently, and use an auto fabric cleaner once or twice a year. A sunscreen when parking couldn't hurt.

Smart and their parent company Mercedes-Benz didn't just get into this game. Althought the materials probably aren't quite to the same grade as what is used in higher-end cars, I'm pretty sure they will hold up as well as any car exposed to sun and heat.

I don't know about everyone else, but accumulation of dust has never been a problem in my cars. If you accumulate 2 or 3 years of dust on your dash...longevity of your car is probably not going to be a major concern.

Now, if a 3rd party will just come out with a custom sun screen that will fit real good.

Oh, and not to highjack this thread, but has anyone noticed on the passion coupe that the pull shade for the top sags some after sitting in the sun for awhile? Is this normal. I guess this should go to Q&A section.
